SALEM, Ore. – Dec. 10, 2021 – Today, the Marion, Washington, and Yamhill County Board of Commissioners jointly selected Jessica George to fill the current vacancy for State Representative in House District 25, left open by the resignation of former State Representative Bill Post. Ms. George was among three candidates nominated by Marion and Yamhill County Precinct Committeepersons for HD 25 to fill the position.

The three nominees were interviewed in a special board session this morning that also included candidates Jessica Davidson and Scott Guptill.

Marion County Commissioner Kevin Cameron, chair, said, “I want to thank former Representative Bill Post for his service and congratulate Jessica George on her appointment today to House District 25. Jessica’s experience being in the state capitol as a staffer in the past and her relationships she has established in the building will make her an asset to her constituents.”
